Eagle's Nest Hideaway

The cabin and staff were great. We will stay at a property less deep into the trees next time. The were bees in the siding above the hot tub and a wasp crawling the the bed.

Very nice, cozy cabin. Loved the gas fireplace and very nice kitchen. Hot tub was great! Driving TN hills definitely an adventure…these 2 elders will look for easier access cabins in the future. Eagles Nest was all that was promised…quiet, beautiful views, & a babbling brook nearby. Revisited our honeymoon trek for our 45th anniversary. Stony Brook Cabins are clean, nice, well-equipped making our stay very nice indeed.

Our cabin was perfect. It was cozy and cute with the most beautiful views. We have never stayed in a place that was so clean and well maintained!

Eagle's Nest was the perfect lil cabin for our honeymoon getaway! Sequestered high up in the mountains, we had privacy and solace from the busy Gatlinburg strip (which is only a short 20 min drive away). Cabin was clean, save for a few cobwebs, and we enjoyed making use of the kitchenette on the late nights. Only downfall it has is the amount of stairs it has to get up to the door, but we enjoyed the exercise nonetheless.

The cabin was perfect, it felt like home away from home. The view was fantastic and it was only a short drive from all the fun.

We enjoyed our 3 days/4 nights very much. Very private, quiet, peaceful setting, exactly what we were looklng for. The hot tub was great. A bit too far from Gatlinburg (25 min.), but doable.

Staff was amazing. Prompt and let me know everything was to know. Great experience. Highly recommended!

This was the best vacation our family has ever had. The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Everything was perfect. We already decided the Smokies is where we want to be for next year's vacation. I've been on Stony Brook's website every day since we returned home trying to decided which cabin to rent next year.

The cabin was beautiful! We absolutely loved it! We had mentioned we were on our honeymoon during our stay and the staff members left us a signed card and small gift! They also stayed in touch and made sure we had everything we needed. The view of the mountains from our porch was gorgeous to wake up to every morning, and the cabin was very clean and tidy! Really enjoyed our stay! The recent renovations were really lovely. View was amazing & hot tub was perfect. We didn’t mind being a bit further outside of town, but the lack of internet and cell service made us spend more time away than we would’ve preferred. If you’re looking to go fully off the grid this is your spot!

We had the most amazing time! The cabin was beautiful and romantic and had the most comfy bed where we could see the mountains as we woke up. The hot tub was clean and a great place to relax. We enjoyed spending the mornings and the afternoons on the quiet porch. The cabin felt rustic but brand new, and was beautiful and modern on the inside. Everything was so very clean inside, you can tell the cabin is cleaned very well! The staff was so lovely and even called to check on us after we arrived and recommended a beautiful drive that we took. We can’t wait to come back to this beautiful cabin and stay here again next year! Would absolutely recommend to everyone! It’s a perfect place for a quiet relaxing romantic getaway for two!

The stay was amazing! The trip started out almost like summer with weather being 70 and ended with a winter wonderland. The cabin was clean and looked newly renovated. We have stayed with stoney brooks a few times now and they never disappoint!

A Heavenly View was amazing! It felt so good to come “home” after a long day doing adventures and to be able to relax, watch television, sit in the hot tub and have a homemade dinner. Best experience of the whole trip!

Everything was wonderful during our stay at the Eagle’s Nest! There were lots of stairs to climb but it was worth it for the view and the cozy cabin. It was so nice of the office to call after the first night to see if we needed anything for the rest of our stay. I would most definitely stay at this cabin or any of the others offered from you!

We were very surprise that the cabin had been updated since the pictures that were online. Everything was clean and neat once we arrived. The cabin was ready about 30 min earlier than expected which was perfect. Everything was in working condition and the hot tub was easy to use. The 42 steps weren't as bad as they looked online. The cabin is exactly 30 min from the action in Gatlinburg which was perfect. We enjoyed the ride in and gave us a chance to stop at the grocery store to grab some dinner to cook on the grill.

cabin was great it was secluded and quite. The view could have been better. The driveway needs to be fixed it could cause damage to a car getting up to the cabin and coming down. I enjoyed my stay. not a lot of water pressure in the shower. But really cozy.

Best time of our life and will stay again next year we love it this year and last year so we will be back

Overall a good experience. If you want to cut off from the world you can do it here. Very nice and private. We had a good time on our Pandemic get away. One note, we have Verizon and cell service was bad/nonexistent for us here.

Very clean and great for a nice romantic couples getaway.

One larger issue was the advertised arcade systems joy stick is none functional. The game was a part of the math choosing this cabin. The other wasn't an issue really, the knob in the dishwasher falls off, and I'm just letting you know. It fully functional. Overall, a great stay and vacation with you.

Wonderful cabin. But the driveway needs serious work. There's a dropoff where the driveway has collapsed. It's hard to get into the parking area. Otherwise excellent.

We honeymooned at the Eagles Nest cabin, and had an amazing first time staying at a cabin close to Gatlinburg. Only downside was how many stairs there were, but it did not affect our stay! Awesome!

The cabin was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The driveway was a little difficult to navigate. There was not enough room to turn around our truck so we had to back in and out. Other than that he he cabin was clean and spacious. And the view was amazing. We would definitely stay again.

The accommodations were very comfortable and everything worked. I thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful setting, the hot tub, the cabin size, and grilling on the front deck. We could not figure out how to get the remote to work for the DVD player, but it wasn't a big deal to just hit play on the machine. The bed was firm on one side and a little sunken in on the side closest to the bathroom. The distance from Gatlinburg town center is a little inconvenient, and though there are several advantages to not having cell or wifi access when you have a teenager with you, in hindsight I could have used some wifi access to upload photos of my trip and planned the next day's sightseeing from the cabin. I found myself staying out later in the town where I could access wifi or cell coverage in order to get stuff done.

It was our first visit to the Smoky Mountains, but our experience was wonderful. We enjoyed the peacefulness and beautiful views at the Eagle's Nest Cabin. The cabin was like a home away from home. It was clean and had the items needed to cook meals. Well supplied with plenty of towels. Of course, the only negative to that particular cabin is the steps, but the only time that is most inconvenient is when you carry your items in for the stay and then back out for departure. My husband and I would enjoy coming back to the Smoky Mountains and even stay in the Eagle's Nest again. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

The cabin was awesome...secluded, clean, just all around great. My only complaint was that we didn't know where the lake was so we didn't go there...but there was plenty to do so it wasn't a big deal. Also there is no outdoor fire pit at the eagles nest so that was kind of disappointing. Overall I highly recommend this trip and we will definitely be back!

Courteous! Helpful. UnFortunately, there was no Wi-Fi in our cabin; but it was pretty deep in the mountains. Though, disconnecting may be what you're looking for if you're looking for the total cabin experience.

Love your cabins. Would have liked a closer cabin to our venue, but it was not bad, only 10 miles away. Better signs needed for night time arrival, we missed the turn and had to turn around in a driveway (sure they did not like since it was late at night).

We really enjoyed our stay at our Stony Brook Cabin (Eagles Nest). We will more than likely stay with them again.

The only thing I would change or make more clear in advertisements is location - I didn't expect the 12 mile drive to Gatlinburg or to the trails to take quite so long. Otherwise, the place was really nice and clean. I would also recommend wifi.

Cabin was great and clean - perfect for our needs during our short visit. Beautiful views! Coffee provided was also very good. Late arrival check-in was easy and we picked up our packet without a problem (it was so nice to have a quick check-in process after we spent two hours on the 1-75 detour due to the rockslide!) Even though our packet was sealed, it was slightly unnerving to know our door code could have been checked by anybody. Would have preferred one more lock on the inside of the cabin door, similar to a hotel lock, to provide additional security/peace of mind. Also, I'd say it is time for a new mattress in the cabin. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and will consider using your company if we return to Gatlinburg in the future.

We enjoyed our 10 year anniversary at the Eagle's Nest Cabin. Our cabin was Very Clean and had a warm feel. Our only suggestion is that the drive-way gets re-paved somehow...but if not oh well. We deeply enjoyed our stay. We look forward to going back next year!!!! We needed help locating some areas around the way and Ed and his wife were Extremely helpful and kind!! If you are looking for a wonderful get-a-way and peaceful location the Stony Brook Cabins are it!!

We were there in the same cabin 5 years ago and it was exactly the same. We love being there and everything was super clean and nice. The only recommendation I would make would be to have the driveway re-surfaced. Other than that we loved it just as much as we did 5 years ago.

Great staff members upon the late booking! Kudos to the ladies at the office! The only suggestion would be to improve the driveway and to maybe include some restaurants that may deliver to the cabin itself or the closest place to grab some food items in the actual cabin. Great stay and very clean!

The cabin was nice and clean. The location is great. Loved the drive through the neighborhood. The kids really enjoyed the multicade and the hot tub! My only complaint would be that the mattress is a little rigid.
