Gatlinburg Family Vacations Named Top 10 by FamilyFun
FamilyFun magazine, a sister publication of Parents, listed Gatlinburg, Tenn. as number 6 on their list of 10 winners of The FamilyFun Travel Awards. The publication surveyed 2,000 families that travel with children from ages 3 to 12 on their preferences on 464 destinations in five categories. Parents could only rate within their home region – Northeast, South, Midwest or West – with the exception of casual restaurant chains. Winners were required to reach a certain number of votes in order to qualify. While we know there are endless reasons why a Gatlinburg family vacation is the best getaway there is, let’s take a look at a couple factors that earned our Smoky Mountain hometown the number 6 spot out of 464 destinations throughout the country.
