1. It’s Easy to Save Money
By visiting Gatlinburg in a a group, you’re actually saving money on lodging, attractions and more. First, you can take advantage of our Gatlinburg cabin specials, but even better than that – when you split the cost of lodging among everyone in your group, you’ll realize it’s much cheaper to rent a cabin than to stay in separate hotel rooms for your vacation.
We do offer some free Gatlinburg attraction tickets, but also remember that many attractions in the area will give you group discounts, so be sure to check on that when you’re buying tickets!
When you visit Gatlinburg in the winter, try to book your vacation for the month of January. Cabin rentals are generally more affordable in January because it’s not a busy season in the area!
2. Restaurants and Groups
There’s plenty of great places to eat in Gatlinburg, and just about everywhere is able to accept groups! We recommend giving the restaurant a call before you visit, so you can be sure to let them know when your group is arriving.
Another great thing about staying in Gatlinburg group cabins is that you can create a home cooked meal right in your cabin. There’s lots of grocery stores and convenience stores throughout the area where you can stop and pick up a few items for meals. This is also another great way to save money!
3. Hiking the Smoky Mountains with Groups
When you have a large group of people, hiking is a great activity – even in the winter months! Depending on how many people are in your group, you can split up and tackle separate hiking trails, or you can all hike together. We recommend these 4 family hiking trails in the Smoky Mountains if you have a variety of age groups on vacation with you. That way, everyone will be comfortable on the hike and enjoy the views of the Smoky Mountains.
4. Winter Activities at Ober Gatlinburg
This is a great outdoor activity for family or a group of friends in the winter. Take a wild ride down the slopes, enjoy the ice skating rink or just take a ride along the Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway for the pretty view of the mountains.
