Some of the trails that have breathtaking views of the mountains are on the more challenging side, but there are some for beginners that also provide you with beautiful scenery. The easier trails that provide you with a glimpse of the gorgeous mountain views are Andrews Bald, Laurel Falls, and Clingmans Dome. Some of the more challenging trails include Alum Cave, Chimney Tops, Gregory Bald, and Charlies Bunion. Any of the trails that lead you to the summit of Mount LeConte, the tallest peak in the mountain range, are also a great choice if you want to take in the views and challenge yourself. 2. Taking a Drive

The most popular drive that provides visitors with the views they’re searching for is Cades Cove. Another great drive people love to make is Newfound Gap, and this road connects Gatlinburg, Tennessee to Cherokee, North Carolina. A few of the other drives you can take for a beautiful view of the Smokies are Foothills Parkway, Little River Road, and Cataloochee Valley.
3. Pulling Up Webcams
Did you know you don’t even have to visit the Smoky Mountains to see the incredible views? If you find yourself longing to be in the mountains but you just can’t get here for one reason or another, you can take advantage of the Smoky mountain webcams! You can see beautiful mountain views on the Newfound Gap webcam, and it’s also a great way to see if there’s any snow during the winter! Another webcam is perched at Look Rock, which is a gorgeous spot along the Foothills Parkway that will provide you with views of the mountains. Some of the other webcams you can watch to take in the mountains include the Gatlinburg Space Needle, Purchase Knob, and Clingmans Dome.
