Spacious and bold, Misty Cove is a custom built handcrafted large-log lodge in a fabulous private mountain setting just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Nestled in a natural setting of tulip poplars, hemlocks, oaks, elms, beeches, birches, glorious mountain laurels and ferns this secluded 5-bedroom lodge is the perfect setting for your next family or corporate outing. As you drive through the wrought iron gate you are greeted with an impressive open gable high atop two massive decks constructed of handcrafted large logs in a post and beam application.
Entering the main level of the lodge you are greeted straight away by the huge vaulted living area, by the grand staircase on your right and the kitchen and formal dining area on the left. The living room has four large leather and fabric sofas arranged comfortably around the stacked stone fireplace and large screen TV/DVD. Massive windows look out onto the forested secluded backdrop that defines this location.
There is a full hall bathroom on this level.
The kitchen has a center food-prep island, granite counter tops, custom built hickory cabinetry and all the appliances you would expect. Off the kitchen with lots of windows and light tucked under an arch carved into the massive log timbers is the dining area. The 13 ½ foot by 5 foot dark oak table with dark oak seats provides seating for 14. Want to take it out on the deck? There are two picnic tables along with a pub table and 6 rocking chairs for private outdoor dining and relaxing. Also on this deck you will find an 8-person spa and a double sized Chefs and Bakers Stainless gas grill.
The master suite on the main level, across from the dining and kitchen areas, has a king oak bed with walk in closet and a spacious shower tub bath. There is also a 20 inch flat screen TV/DVD for private entertainment.
Up the 4 foot wide grand staircase, a vaulted loft area in natural log and tongue in groove construction has 2 twin/queen bunk beds. The north upper bedroom has a king bed, bonus twin bed, 20 inch flat screen TV/DVD, walk in closet and spacious shower tub bath. The upper south bedroom is a mirror image of the north bedroom, including the spacious shower tub bath and walk in closet.
The lower level of Misty Cove Lodge is also gracious and accommodating. A large game room dominates the center of the lower level, with an 89" playing surface tournament pool table, pub table and 4 rustic stools, and 20 inch flat screen TV/DVD. The stone gas log fireplace adds warmth and atmosphere, and the two leather queen sleeper sofas add greatly to the comfortable seating for the game room and sleeping capacity for the lodge.
The lower level also contains a huge laundry area with top of the line Maytag appliances. The north lower bedroom is a beautiful English oak king bed with 20" flat screen TV/DVD, walk in closet, and large shower with a separate whirlpool tub in gorgeous tile work. The south side lower bedroom is another dark oak king bed with walk in closet, and a spacious shower tub bath. The lower level also boasts a huge covered deck, with beautiful stone work on the lodge and huge, big log? pillars. Everything about Misty Cove Lodge is spacious and private and very, very special.

We loved your cabin very much! We certainly felt it was a home away from home. It was an oversight on our part that there was no wifi and we would honestly have to take that into consideration with work needs that we had! Another small complaint is that I didn't like having a glass door with no blinds or curtains on the main floor and the blinds in that bathroom were not big enough to cover the whole window. We put a sheet over the door!

The chalet was absolutely beautiful. All of our guest were very pleased with our accommodations. We were unable to get the grill to work on the left side; the television in the upper right bedroom (going up the stairs) only got one channel; and the upper air conditioner did not cool the unit on the first night of our stay (worked fine after repair was made). My guest only comment was wishing they had flat screen televisions in all bedroom, not just the master. We will come back in the future and book through Stony Brook. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We really loved every minute at the cabin. The only thing we didn't like was the Internet WiFi. It wasn't working at all.
