Wondering what you can do in the Smokies during the holidays? Check out these fun activities you can enjoy:

Catch a Show

Several of the shows in the area put on Christmas performances. You can watch Country Tonite's holiday show with country twists on some of your favorite tunes. Watch the performers in Pirates Voyage do all kinds of tricks to catchy Christmas songs. Laugh until you cry at Hatfield and McCoy's Dinner Show or The Comedy Barn's holiday shows. Enjoying a good Christmas show is one of the best things to do during the holidays!

Look at Winterfest Lights

A fun, free thing to do during the holidays in the Smokies is look at Winterfest lights. All throughout Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg there are light displays. You'll see some with Smoky Mountain themes, some with winter themes, and the 12 Days of Christmas. Kids and adults will enjoy looking at Winterfest lights!

Winter Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales

If you want to spend time in Gatlinburg, you can enjoy Winter Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales. This event takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings during the holiday season. You can just walk up and down the sidewalks and listen to carolers, watching storytellers and performers, and much more. There are bands and singers that perform on stages, and so much more. You'll love enjoying all of these things during this event.

Visit Ober Gatlinburg

Ober Gatlinburg is the only ski resort in Tennessee, and things are in full swing during the holiday season. If there isn't already snow on the ground, Ober makes snow so guests can enjoy riding the slopes. You can ski or snowboard down the mountain. Kids will enjoy snow tubing as well as playing in the kiddie snow area. Your whole family will love going to Ober Gatlinburg!

Gatlinburg Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade

If you're here at the right time, you can watch the Gatlinburg Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade. There are all kinds of amazing floats from local businesses. You might even spot Santa as he rides in the parade! People line up all along downtown Gatlinburg to watch this incredible parade.

Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland

Another light event you won't want to miss is Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland. This event runs through the holiday season in the Smokies' baseball stadium parking lot. You pay per vehicle and then drive through an amazing maze of colorful lights. The light show is set to music, so turn your car radio onto the station listed on the sign as you enter the event.
