5 Steps for Planning an Unforgettable Gatlinburg Cabin Wedding

With the majestic backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains and the intimacy of your home away from home, there is nothing quite like a Gatlinburg cabin wedding. Planning your big day with Stony Brook Cabins is easy when you follow these 5 simple steps:

1. Pick the Perfect Cabin

The first step for planning your wedding is to pick the right cabin for your needs. If you want a small ceremony with a few close friends and family members, consider renting one of our romantic one bedroom cabins in Gatlinburg. However, if you plan on inviting a larger group of guests, you can rent a spacious cabin with five or more bedrooms. A big vacation rental also gives you the option of hosting your reception right in your cabin. Browse through our listings to find the ideal cabin for your dream wedding.

2. Obtain Your Marriage License

Although you do not have to be a resident of Sevier County or the state of Tennessee to get married at Stony Brook Cabins, be sure to obtain your marriage license in plenty of time for your ceremony! You can get your marriage license in person at two convenient locations, the Sevier County Courthouse in Sevierville or the Satellite Clerk Office in Gatlinburg. In addition, Sevier County maintains an online marriage license office. On this website, you can complete and submit an online application for a marriage license if you are getting married in Gatlinburg within 30 days.

3. Choose a Minister

Stony Brook Cabins works with two excellent ministers in the Gatlinburg area, Alden Marshall and Brian Tippit, who are completely dedicated to addressing your personal desires and needs. Both ministers would be happy to make arrangements to perform a ceremony in the privacy of your cabin. You can arrange to speak to one of our ministers before your ceremony, or they can simply show up at the appointed time. Both Alden Marshall and Brian Tippit have received glowing reviews from couples, and either minister is available for just $150.

4. Finalize Your Guest List

Another important step for planning your Gatlinburg cabin wedding is to decide who you would like to invite. Once your guest list has been planned out, you can book vacation rentals for your guests at Stony Brook Cabins. Your guests will be delighted to enjoy our luxurious cabins with beautiful mountain views, deluxe amenities, and comfortable accommodations. Our larger cabins have space for 15 - 26 people, so your guest can save money by staying together as a group.

5. Consider Special Touches
